- גְּדַלI ch. sam( Hithpa. הִתְגַּדֵּל, Nithpa. נִתְגַּדֵּל to be raised). Kidd.71b ג׳ ולא נסיב was grown up and not yet married. Pa. גַּדֵּל to raise, rear. Ḥag.4b מרים מְגַדְּלָא דרדקי Miryam, the childrens nurse. Ithpa. אִתְגַּדַּל to be exalted. Targ. Ps. 104:1.
